the Southeast Corner
Because of the excellent
credentials displayed by all of the candidates for the one scholarship
generally awarded, Blue Lodge and the Fellow Craft Club voted to award a
scholarship to each of them. The deserving recipients are Nicholas Karakaian, Rebekah K. Gilbert, Alexandrea M. Licht, Nicole M. Boulton, and Laura C. Nester.

William B Sturgess raised to
the Sublime Degree of Master Mason
On November 1st, as Worshipful Master Larry
B. Donovan's year was drawing to a close, he deemed it proper and fitting to
confer the Master Mason Degree one more time, for the good of Freemasonry and
the benefit of a deserving candidate.

and provides rules for a Grand Master's (or one-day) Class of candidates.
Proposed Legislation 2001 I: By-Laws Chapter 5. Section 5.01(b): Expands those who may represent a Lodge at
Grand Lodge by proxy to include Past Masters. Formerly, only elected Lodge
officers could use such proxies.

ONE VERSION OF FREEMASONRY
After
the Norman conquest,
The church building Freemasons, being a national
organization whose members traveled throughout the length and breadth of the
land, wherever employment was obtainable, ofttimes
found it impracticable to refer to their late employers for their character and
qualifications. Hence arose the necessity for sign,
token and word, with which our ancient brethren went to and fro. Whence came
this sign, token and word? We do not know. We read of an assembly at
Freemasonry provides opportunities for sincere, honest,
forthright men who want to contribute to the improvement of themselves and of
their communities. Through our Masonic fraternalism, we reaffirm our dedication
and unity to become involved citizens
who have a strong desire to preserve the values that have continued, and will
continue, to make
